The project’s Ipswich team were invited to exhibit some of the artwork from the community forum creative workshops produced by our research participant.
The artwork was part of The ICONS exhibition that ran during 16 November – 3 December 2025, organised by the Ipswich Romanian Community (IRC) and hosted at The HIVE, ‘new grassroots-based organisation, developing a multi-functional creative space in the heart of Ipswich, with a leading focus on supporting the diverse community in and around Norwich Road’. The ICONS celebrated local artistic talent, beloved characters, and uplifting positive social messages.
Our project artwork on display were collage triptychs, representing anonymised artists’ reflections on their life and access to health and related services in Ipswich, reflecting on their experiences since arrival to this diverse town in Suffolk, as well and showcasing their hopes and aspirations for the future.
The MigRefHealth research participants’ artwork was displayed along the pencil and charcoal illustrations by the local artist, Romeo Mustata, as well as the drawings produced during other IRC projects, such as children’s pictures highlighting the impact of littering to health and the environment.
